For bars, clubs and events
The line at the bar is the slowest part of the night. With SmartBarIQ, guests order from their own phone, wherever they are standing, and get a ping when the drink is ready.
01
The problem
Everyone has been this guest. Every bar has lost this sale.
She can see the bar from where her friends are standing. She can't get to it. Thirty people had the same idea.
The bartenders are taking orders, answering questions and running cards — and making drinks in between.
She asked for a vodka tonic. He heard vodka soda.
Her friends have moved. She won't queue again tonight, so there is no second round.
The guest
Spends the night in a line instead of with their friends.
The bartender
Spends half the shift taking orders instead of making drinks.
The venue
Loses the second round. Every minute in line is a drink not sold.
What we noticed
The line isn't for the drinks.
It's for the bartender's attention.
Making a cocktail takes a minute or two. Getting the order to the person who makes it takes far longer, because ordering, paying and making all happen at the same counter, through the same person. Take the order away from the counter and the line goes with it.
02
The fix
Three steps for the guest. Nothing to download, nobody to flag down.
QR codes around the room — on the walls, the high-tops, the lounge tables, by the dance floor. The menu opens in the browser.
Cocktails with photos, spirits, wine and beer. Pay with the order where the venue takes cards. It lands at the bar, written exactly as asked.
The order status updates live, and the phone pings the moment the drink is ready. Walk up, collect, back to the night.
The film
A guest orders from across the room, the bar makes it guided and measured, and the drink is waiting when they walk up.
03
Behind the bar
No shouting, no mishearing, no taking cards between pours.
Same Friday, again
Before
Three deep at the bar. Eighteen minutes, a shouted order, the wrong drink, and no second round.
With SmartBarIQ
She orders on her phone between songs and stays with her friends. Her phone pings, she collects, and ordering the next one takes ten seconds.
04
After closing
No clipboard, no counting bottles at closing time. Every pour was counted as it was poured.
Where it works
Wherever the crowd is bigger than the bar, the order moves to the guest's phone. The station sits on any counter — no plumbing, no install.
